Due to the increasing shortage of raw materials, especially sand, gravel, and water, the areas of environmental and construction material recycling are becoming more and more important. With tailor-made plants for the wet-mechanical processing of construction waste, road sweepings, railway ballast, etc., Schauenburg MAB has been offering solutions for sustainable operations for decades.

The former waste, which was produced for instance during building demolition and had to be disposed of in a time-consuming and cost-intensive way, can easily be returned to the circuit as a high-quality secondary raw material, for example as recycled sand, by processing it with the Schauenburg MAB plants.

With a separation cut of up to 250 μm, the RC sands can be further used for the production of concrete and thus for various construction projects.

Careful and sustainable handling is also a key issue in roadway renewal projects. The Schauenburg MAB plants offer optimal solutions for the processing of track ballast, for example in the separation of sand and ballast. In this way, railway ballast can be reused and natural deposits can be conserved.

Through process optimization, the water cycles during processing are kept as low as possible. In addition to minimizing water consumption, this also enables energy-efficient applications.

Optionally, the railway ballast can be additionally crushed during processing so that it can be used as a sharp-edged product in the best possible way.
