The input of kinetic energy causes sludge particles that adhere to mineral grain surfaces to be released. This "friction process" is successful only when the concentration of solids is high.
The use of single-shaft and double-shaft log washers ensures that the washing process is very effective.
MAB log washers are available for the capacity range of 10 to 330 t/h.
Improvements to the equipment design over the last few years have greatly extended the serviceable life of the machines. Special hydrocyclones or Hydrosort® l devices are used to "wash out" dilutable components. Mechanical processes use standard machines to reduce the final and residual moisture of solids and to separate solid and fluid mixtures.
For decades now, the special MAB underflow pockets of the hydrocyclones have been used successfully to desludge sandy grain in wet processing of minerals. Our product portfolio covers a range of 10 to 1000 m³/h per single cyclone. So-called multi-cyclones can be used to increase flow rates.
Extremely intensive desludging of the fraction 0 to 4 mm is a job for the Hydrosort® l. A water counter-current is introduced from below and an autogenously generated fluidized bed purges the desludged particles. The flow rate of the equipment is between 2 and 140 t/h.
